What is Sleep and Sleepness?


The way you sleep is so essential that can affect the overall health, safety, and quality of the life.

Also, the deprivation that dysfunctional sleep patterns make as a result often increases the risk of other health problems, which include excessive daytime sleepiness, irregular breathing, or increased movement during sleep. There are many different types of problematic sleep patterns or clinical sleep disorders. why they happen or how they affect you are two separated categories, that each explains behaviors and problems with natural sleep-wake cycles.
Some common types of sleep disorders include:

  • Insomnia: difficulty in falling asleep or staying asleep throughout the night.
  • Sleep apnea: The abnormal patterns of breathing while you are asleep. There are several types of sleep apnea.
  • Restless legs syndrome (RLS):  sleep movement disorder. Restless legs syndrome, also called Willis-Ekbom disease, causes an uncomfortable sensation and an urge to move the legs while you try to fall asleep.
  • Narcolepsy: extreme sleepiness during the day and falling asleep suddenly during the day.
